About
I'm the technology reporter at the Boston Business Journal, a weekly newspaper where I cover startups, venture capitalists and public tech companies. I specialize in explaining complicated ideas in simple language and framing emerging technologies so that they matter to a general business audience.
I regularly write news and analysis about digital data collection, robotics, cybersecurity and diversity in the tech industry. My feature stories have centered on topics like self-driving cars, cryptocurrency and sexual assault in the workplace.
My work has also appeared in the Columbia Journalism Review, where I covered digital security and the First Amendment, and The Boston Globe, where I wrote about the impact of tech on society for the weekly Ideas section.
Previously, I lead a team of writers at Boston.com covering local news related to real estate, business and transportation. I helped build our reporting and publishing structure from the ground up, managing everything from special events coverage to social media strategy and working closely with the product and data analytics teams.

- Building a network of diverse sources
- Finding the best angle and voice for a given audience
- Storytelling across different mediums
Stuff I’d like to get better at:
- Investigative reporting skills, from FOIA requests to secure source communication
- Data journalism skills, like scraping public databases and building information visualizations
- Making funny GIFs to get Twitter famous
